Acacius



Acacius was martyred under Maximian. Tribune Firmus accused him of being a Christian. He confessed that he had been instructed in the faith by his parents. He was tortured in Pyrrinthus, Thrace, by the judge Bibian and taken to Byzantium, there to be beheaded.

Also honored in the East on May 7th and the west on May 8th
